About HOA Express

The company you’d be working for, HOA Express, is the leading SaaS platform for residential communities to build an outstanding website that informs and engages their residents. The job

As part of a small engineering team, you’ll play a big role in developing our front end functionality. This includes creating new features, redesigning user interfaces, improving the reliability & maintainability of existing code, and of course, fixing the occasional bug. We’re also nearing the completion of rewriting our legacy front end code to use React + other modern technologies, allowing us to build new features and improvements even faster.

Requirements & skills

• Pride in your work. You genuinely take pride in designing software that is highly polished, maintainable, and intuitive. You care about writing easy-to-understand code and perfect a feature’s functionality before moving on.

• Quick learner. You have an innate ability to learn quickly, especially when it comes to working with new codebases or technologies. You strive for a thorough understanding of the tools you use, rather than hacking things together.

• Great problem solver. You are persistent and resourceful when solving challenges, yet not afraid to seek help. You choose the solution that’s harder when it’s better in the long-run.

• Past experience. A solid understanding of JavaScript, React, and CSS is required. Experience with the other technologies we use at HOA Express would be a plus (TypeScript, Storybook, Sentry, Redux, and many more).

Per our open salary calculator, the starting salary for this position is $88,000 - $95,500 per year.
